Phillips hue is a range of smart LED lights bulbs
They simply replace your old bulbs be they bayonet ,screw in or GU10
An app installs on your phone and connects to the hub, available in starter kits or separately
Once the app is installed you add lights to your setup in rooms .
The lights are available in bulb form, strip lights, and stand alone designs such as the bloom and aura.
The great things about these lights is you can use your phone a smart home device like Echo or Google home to control them, whether you just turning them on or off, changing the colour or setting schedules.
The brightness can also be set with these lights to make a room feel more romantic, or to suit the room for reading etc.
These lights are really easy to setup and can improve the ambiance of any room, with whites available in warm and cool, or a wide variety of colours to choose from.
The strip lights especially are very versatile, as they are flexible you can use them to back light a Media cabinet, sticking them to the back with the sticky back lining
A range of accessories are available for the hue range, including motion /light sensors adn magnetic remotes to help automate your home and change the way your lights work.
( I have my wardrobe setup so that when there is movement the strip lights up in whichever colour or brightness i have set.)
These lights are a little expensive averaging out at about £60 per light bulbs but you can get these in kits to soften the blow.
These lights are very cost effective as they will last a lifetime, and are very eco friendly, because they are LED’s
