The Logitech Harmony Ultimate remote and hub ship together with two IR blasters.

Oncw e the hub has been setup using the app on your smartphone or PC (really easy to do) you add your devices such as TV’s games consoles etc. and add them to activities setting what you want to happen on activity start  and end. for example turn on TV, set TV to input HDMI 1,  turn on DVD player. and so on.

When you end the activity everything turns of.

Or if you  start another it leaves all devices needed by the activity on .

This is great if you are like me and have to turn on a  plethora of devices to start playing on the Xbox or PC.

The remote features a touch screen which displays all of your activities and devices, these can be customise from the app on your phone or your PC application.

The IR blasters plug into the back of the hub and can then be fed through the back of a cabinet housing things like consoles and DVD players which are not picking up signals from the hub directly.

These can be a bit finicky when it comes to positioning them, but once setup they work a treat.

ot all devices work with Logitech harmony simply by entering the make and model, but you can teach harmony the commands for those devices by pointing the control at the hub and following the instructions son your phone or PC.

The Logitech harmony ultimate and hub with 2 IR blaster is available on Amazon (link below) for £129.99 ( a saving is made here as there is a simple software update for the hub required. Really easy)

All in all foe the price this is a great buy for anyone with a man cave setup or home cinema setup.

But I would not recommend if you only have TV and DVD as it seems a little overkill.  (unless you really hate remotes!)
