Apple has announced  its  10th anniversary iPhone, aptly named  the iPhone X

While features were leaked before it was revealed the  phone has still made a lot of good impressions.

Following are the features that we have to look forward to.

The Screen

The iPhone X is sporting what Apple are calling a super Retina display.

. It’s 5.8 inches but the device is barely larger than the iPhone 8, which shows you what a difference big bezels make.

The display supports Apple’s TrueTone technology, HDR10 and Dolby Vision, and features a resolution of 2436×1125 (458 ppi),

This makes it Apple’s highest resolution device ever!

Face ID

As the screen has taken up more or less the entire front of the device, there is no room to put a touch ID sensor So Apple have opted to ditch Touch ID in favour for Face ID which uses Apples true depth camera to provide secure authentication.

Where as this i snot a first for the smartphone market it is a welcome addition for the trade off for a bezel free device .

Apple claims that this camera analyses more than  30.000 invisible dots to create a mapping of your face.

This feature is said to be far more secure than Touch ID and is capable of learning a persons appearance, so any changes to your face such as an extra spot or two or even glasses will not lock you out of your phone,

Camera

The iPhone X features a vertical dual camera setup, which utilises two 12-megapixel sensors that both feature optical image stabilisation; the wide-angle aperture is f/1.8, and the telephoto aperture is f/2.4.

This means that the telephoto lens will snap sharper clearer images.

The  Price

The 64GB model will start at £750.17, while the 256GB model will be a whopping £862.81, which doesn’t exactly make it the most affordable phone on the market.

Apple said the iPhone X will go up for preorder on October 27, with shipments to go out on November 3. As far as iPhone launches go, the later-than-usual shipping date isn’t very typical of Apple, but hopefully it means the company will offer ample supply when the iPhone X does go on sale.
