Today I am reviewing one of NVidia ‘s latest offerings to the tablet table.
The Shield tablet.
IT was released in July of 2014 although not particularly new, is still one of the main contenders for gaming tablets.
Its specs are impressive at only 9.2 mm thick it weighs 390 G
(a comfortable medium, not so light you forget your holding it, but it wont cause aches either.)
as standard it runs android 4.4.2 but can be upgraded to 5.0 and has 16 GB storage and is expandable with a micro SD card slot.
Its screen is perfect for gaming at 8.0 inches 1920 x 1200 pixels. it sports a 5MP camera front and back, with geo tagging and touch auto focus.
in terms of power it has 2 GB of RAM and a tegra K1 chip set
It boasts a Geforce GPU with 192 cores
It also features a soft touch stylus, perfect for photo editing and touch optimized games like Flow.
to improve your gaming experience it has two forward facing stereo speakers, these are fairly loud speakers.
Wi Fi and bluetooth are standard on most models of this tablet.
with a built in micro hdmi port, you can easily hook it up to a monitor or tv.
This tablets biggest boon is with any pc running a Ge force 970 or higher graphics card, you can stream games to the tablet via wi fi.
and a controller is available for purchase that can be used with the tablet to play your favorite games.
So I think this is the perfect tamers tablet,
It also ticks the boxes for normal tablet uses, such as internet browsing and light reading.I give it 4.5 stars,
