Office Lens is a nifty free app that synchronizes with your Microsoft account to send what are basically full size scans from your phone or tablet to your gallery or one file.application.
Simply hold up your phone running office lens to any document such as an invoice or receipt, wait for it to read it and put a border around what it thinks it wants you to scan, (A steady hand helps here.) then tap the screen to turn it into a scan. It even has OCR (optical character recognition) built in to the final image!
This app is really versatile, allowing you to share the scan, or search it for particular words or sentences.
It handles angles really well too, evening out the distance so that the scan appears head on.
It take
s a bit of getting used to in order to produce high quality scans, don’t be afraid to get up close if necessary, it will help you to get clearer images.
And because you can save the scan to your gallery you can then edit it.
