Today I’m reviewing a few of those mundane everyday necessities for anyone working a desk job,

That’s right desk gadgets.

A choice selection of the gadgets on my desk that I will be reviewing are as follows.

  1. Samsung 1 TB portable hard drive.
  2. Phone/tablet stand
  3. Anker 4 port usb hub
  4. USB fan

Samsung 1 TB portable hard drive.

Ive had it with usb drives, for the small size increase this holds far more data than your average usb, and is still quite portable and shareable. It sits on my desk ready to receive any data I need to take to site with me. It makes for the ideal backup solution, when coupled with the right backup software like clonezilla for example.

Phone/tablet stand.

This little beauty surprised me. I expected a cheaply made average quality stand.

It arrived and I was astounded by the quality.

It easily supports my galaxy S5 and my Nvidia shield tablet.

It is ideal for charging mobile devices while holding them in pride of place on your desk.

It cost me a measly £4.09

Anker 4 port usb hub.

Considering this only cost me £7.99 its great, It gives me 4 ports right on my desk, no need to bend over under my desk to plug things in the usb ports.

yes, I had to use an extension cable to make it reach my pc under my desk, but it means I have plenty of slack for adjustment. it draws power directly from the source, and takes enough to power all of my usb gadge.

Plus it looks great, its sleek and discreet.

My Pro tip, use a bit of double sided sticky to hold it down to the desk.

USB Fan

It gets HOT in my office, with three or four of us typing and clicking away on multiple PC’s and laptops etc,

So it is often necessary to have a small yet powerful fan running on my desk, even with the air con on.

It has two modes only, off and on, its adjustable and provides a surprising amount of relief from the heat, it’s pretty quiet too. and available in a variety of colors, I paid £6.00.
